Rubistar

   This website helps make rubrics for any subject.  For science it easily helps you create rubrics for lab reports, science fair experiments, and scientific drawings.  It is very easy to use and customize to make it evaluate what you are looking for.



Movie Sheets

   An online resource of educational videos on any subject area.  Includes links to amazon to order these videos and movie worksheets students can fill out to follow along already made.​



Zunal WebQuest Maker

    This is a website that allows you to make your own webquest and also give you access to webquests that have already be created using Zunal.  By being able to make your own webquest you can customize it as you wish. ​



Text Mind Map

    This is a wonderful website for creating mind maps.  It is very easy to use and customize to make it your own and work well in your class to show different relationships in a visual way.



Biology Games

      This website is a wonderful resource for review day.  There are many different templates for different games that you can fill out to help your students review information that will be on the test.  Templates include Jeopardy, How Wants to be a Million, Vocabulary Bingo, Opening of Class Timer, 20 Questions, and Wheel of Fortune.​

Best Websites for Teaching and Learning

    The "Top 25" Websites, according to the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), that foster the qualities of innovation, creativity, active participation, and collaboration. They are free, Web-based sites that are user friendly and encourage a community of learners to explore and discover.

Access Excellence
   This website has an abundance of resources.  Under the activities exchange tab are many different science mysteries that will help engage students in different topics in biology.  Under the resources center are different graphics to help illustrate biological concepts.  The "What's News" tab gives articles on recent developments in the world of science.  There are other very interesting topics in this website, it just takes a little time to try to navigate it.


How Stuff Works
    This is a website that has a plethora of biology resources. It has videos and articles on different concepts and events in biology. The website's main focus is on explaining how different things work.  It also has information on the other physical and life sciences.


Serendip: Science and Education
    Serendip has a very helpful resource for k-12 science educators.  The first link leads to different labs that could be used in your class room, including labs where students take part in designing an experiment. There is also an online seminar about using technology in the class room.

Biology Corner
   Biology Corner is a great resource that was created by a high school teacher with a degree in biology and educational technology.  It has just about everything a biology teacher would ever need. This websites has reading guides, video worksheets and links to their corresponding video, crossword puzzles, lesson plans, good pictures of dissections, different labs and in class activities, and so much more.

Khan Academy: Biology
    Khan Academy has a series videos on different biology concepts. It can be used in place of a sub, to help review information that you will teach, or be given to students to help them review concepts in preparation for a test.

Pearson: Lab Bench Activities
    This is a great website that has different labs from different units.  It not only walks the student through the lab but gives important background information so students understand the concepts at play and it also has a quiz at the end of each lesson to ensure students understand the material.

Science Net Links
    Science Net Links has a lot of lessons available to use.  These are good lessons that have students involved in learning through different activities and questions that they have to think through.



​Arctica Game
    A science mystery game that uses themes from many different areas of biology and also has literacy, problem solving skills, and deductive reasoning are tested throughout.



cK-12 

    Online textbooks with a bunch of different helpful resources such as in class activities, lesson plans, media that can be used alongside of lessons, assessments, study resources and more. 



WatchKnowLearn.org

    Free educational videos on different subject areas.  It is well organized first into different subjects and then into smaller subsections.
